2022 Madrid, Spain

In 2022, Elena launched her own company and debuted her first short piece, NO HAY HUECO EN EL JARDÍN. This work took her across the globe, with over 30 performances in just one year. NO HAY HUECO EN EL JARDÍN garnered its five awards at the 36th Madrid Choreographic Contest, received two more prices at the 10 Sentidos Festival, it has been awarded Best Work at the 2024 Cáceres International Dance Festival and has won first prize at the XI DanzaXtrema Choreographic Contest. it has been showcased at various national and international dance festivals and contemporary dance platforms, including Teatre Riflessi (Sicily), Traslación (Lanzarote), Espai Inestable (Valencia), Bucles (Valencia), Cervandantes (Madrid), La Mercè (Barcelona), CC Paco Rabal Theater (Madrid), among others.

In July 2023, Elena created a new piece for students at the American Dance Festival titled Los Verdugos. This short piece explored the emotion of guilt as a tool for social manipulation and later evolved into a medium-length work with the Dance Company Dantzaz in December 2023. This piece became the seed for her new work, LA CULPA, which got selected for a research residency at Teatros del Canal in Madrid.

In 2024, Elena premiered her first full-length work in Madrid, MOM, I AM A RICH MAN, a site-specific contemporary dance installation examining the paradox of the American Dream. Through both sociocultural and personal lenses, the piece explores the cost of chasing dreams, the pursuit of illusory goals, and the false promise of eventual success. A shorter, 15-minute version of this work is also available.

In 2025, Elena is producing her latest work, LA CULPA, with the support of INJUVE’s Young Creators Grant, the research residency at Centro Coreográfico Canal, the creative residency at TAI University of the Arts, and the technical residency at La Nave del Duende. The piece delves into the theme of guilt from both psychological and religious perspectives through a multidisciplinary approach that blends contemporary dance, AI-generated audiovisuals, and spoken text. This work will premiere at Sala Cuarta Pared in Madrid in February 2026.
